BBC Two programme The Restaurant, fronted by celebrity chef Raymond Blanc, will not return to TV screens, it has been confirmed. The reality show focused on couples competing for a chance to open a restaurant financially backed by Blanc. A BBC statement said "the time is right for The Restaurant to close its doors after three successful series."Blanc is currently "in discussions" with the BBC about a new series of Kitchen Secrets and other projects.
The announcement comes as BBC Two launches its autumn and winter schedule.
